Voter roll registration opens in Gulbarga

                          Gulbargians, who are not part of the voter rolls can register at the Gulbarga City Corporation offices or online within one week.

The Election Commission has announced a special summary revision of photo electoral rolls. This will help enroll first time voters, voters whose names are not in the rolls, voters who have shifted residences and already enrolled voters who need to correct their details. All citizens who will be 18 years or above, as on January 1st 2013, are eligible.

The process of revising the electoral rolls in “Gulbarga South” and “Gulbarga North” Assembly constituencies has begun. A notification in this regard was put up at all designated places in the city to enable new voters to get their names added to the list or file any objections.

The last date for filing objections and adding names is November 29.
