The Kurikota bridge across Bennethora River near Kurikota village in Chitapur taluk here reopened for all light and heavy vehicles from today, Revu Naik Belamagi and others were present.
The bridge was constructed during the pre-Independence era by the Nizams. The work on the new bridge was suspended for more than two years following a dispute between the contractor and the Karnataka State Highways Improvement Project (KSHIP) authorities over the cost.
