The Hyderabad Karnataka Horata Samithi has called for Hyderabad Karnataka bundh on January 24 , 21012 in protest against the delay of the Congress led UPA government ro bring an amendment to Article 371 of the Constitution for providing special status to the backward Hyderabad Karnataka region for its speedy overall development.
A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the Samithi held here on Monday presided over by senior Rupublican Party of India leader Shivaram Mogha and attended among others by Horata Samithi President Vaijanath Patil and representatives from all the five districts of the region.
It was unanimously resolved to observe a total bundh in all the five districts Bidar,Gulbarga, Yadgir,Raichur,and Koppal on January 24, 2012 to step up momentum and also to build pressure on the central leadership in general and the leaders of the region in particular.
