Gulbarga district can progress faster with the following projects: 1. Early completion of Bidar-Gulbarga rail line. 2. New trains : Gulbarga-Solapur-Hubli train, , Gulbarga-Hyderbad intercity express train, Gulbarga-Bangalore Garibaldi Rath train, Manmad-Solapurt train extension upto Gulbarga, Solapur-Gulbarga-Raichur-Guntakal passenger extension upto Bellary. 3. Connecting buses from Gulbarga to Sedam railway station for Rajdhani express , both up/down trains. 4. Connecting buses from Gulbarga to Railway stations at Chitapur, Sedam for trains like Link Express, Haripriya express etc. 4. A new Govt Medical college and a Govt Enginnering college at Gulbarga 6. Start of work for the IIIT sanctioned at Gulbarga, 7. Conducting regular sporting events for state level sports selection for various games at Gulbarga. 8. A new sports stadium at Gulbarga. 9. Conducting Ranji Trophy matches and other state level sporting events at Gulbarga every year. 10. A separate cycle lane, with shady trees at Ring Road. 11. A separate agency to collect plastic and paper packing materials listed for soaps, shampoo, biscuits etc from all the houses/colonies 12. A recycling plant for recycling paper and plastic packing materials. 13. Subsidy for implementing Rain water harvesting. 14. Start tree plantations from low lying areas adjacent to ponds/ streams. 15. Develop Gulbarga as a centre of Excellence in Solar Energy studies and implementations.
