Gulbarga Utsav – 2011

Gulbarga Utsav will be held from April 15 to 17th, 2011.

The aim of the utsav is to promote tourism and introduce people to the culture of the region,As many as 18 committees had been formed for the utsav.

Special attractions include micro-light aeroplane rides, firecracker festival, literary fest, theatre fest and a procession. Artistes will be selected for the utsav through district-wise competitions that begin on April 1.

Some of the other events include investors’ meet, organic farming mela, food and nutrition mela, industries mela, sports mela, book fair, fruit and flower show, adventure sports and cultural programmes.

The foundation stone for the IT& BT park will also be laid during the utsav.

Great efforts by the organisors. The colourful-triangular decorations on road side trees are looking very beatiful. Gulbarga Utsav is good for exposure of hidden talents & developement of this region. But what about the re-location of IIIT from Gulbarga to Dharwad, due to some clumpsy reasons?
