First Information Technology (IT) investors meet in Gulbarga on August 27

Karnataka State Electronic Development Corporation Ltd (KEONICS), which has taken up the construction of 53,100 sqft first phase IT Park in Gulbarga, is organising an IT Investors’ Meet at 11 am on August 27 at the function hall of the Hyderabad Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HKCCI) building in Super Market, Gulbarga.

KEONICS Managing Director Harikumar Jha who took stock of the progress being made in the establishment of the IT Park at the Karnataka Housing Board Layout in front of the High Court Circuit Bench building here on Thursday has asked the IT investors of the state and outside the state to take part in the conference.

Mr Jha said that the first phase of the three phase IT Park is likely to be completed by the end of October this year. The first phase is being constructed on an area of 53,100 sq ft and the construction work was started in October last.

The IT Park is estimated to cost Rs 30 crore and will occupy a total area of 1.5 lakh sq ft. It will have all the facilities including power, water, high speed internet connectivity, ATM, bank, food court, tour and travels facility. Secretary, Hyderabad Karnataka Area Development Board, Shalini Rajneesh Goel, who is coordinating with KEONICS and the Hyderabad Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry to organise the meet.

About IT Park: The IT Park, Gulbarga will have full pledged support with High Speed broad band connectivity, DG power back up, centralized air conditioning and ample parking place. KEONICS will also set up a 20 seater Incubation facility. The park will also have facility services such as ATM, Bank, Health centre, Food court and Tour & Travels.

Whenever i cross through high court road i use to guess that this construction is of an IT park only and recenlty i came to know that my guessing is exactly correct and now am happy that after few years IT students like me need not worry about going out of the city for IT jobs, a very big thanks to KEONICS Managing Director Harikumar Jha.

Does any body if the plan of IT park is still on papers or the work has started. With the current politics, I don’t see this happening till 2020.

Myself Devraj K.Sirasgi & i have completed MCA and searching for the jobs.I heard the news that IT Park is constructed in Gulbarga it was good move and it is very helpfull for these region Computer Science & engineering students after completion of their studies they can get it jobs in their home town and for this moving for the job hunt students going places like bangalore/pune etc.is restricted.

Good to see the progress of Our city.
But , to support the overall growth of the region, govt. must do something to attract manufacturing sector (Like Automobiles etc.) so that dependency on only IT is avoided.
