Gulbarga City Corporation Razes Temples from roads but not the beliefs from hearts
by Gulbarga on Jun 12, 2011 • 6:26 am 22 CommentsCorporation has identified 45 unauthorized places of worship!
Lall Hanuman Temple , Shahabazaar Gulbarga
Darga on Market road ,Gulbarga
Super market area near Central Bustand , Gulbarga
Darga Near Near Hindi Prachar Sabha.
In a major crackdown on illegal constructions, the Gulbarga City Corporation(ಗುಲ್ಬರ್ಗ ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ) on Saturday razed at least 34 places of worship that were found to have encroached on public property.
Early in the morning, a squad began the demolition of 27 temples and seven dargahs simultaneously at different locations in the city, under police protection. The action of the corporation authorities took everybody by surprise, with only a few protests from the people at some demolition sites.
The residents of Gazipur held up the demolition of a temple in the area, demanding to see the directions issued by court in this regard.
For over four hours, people sat inside the temple complex and prevented the earthmovers from coming near the structure. They alleged that the authorities had not issued a notice to them about the structure being removed.
Gulbarga City Corporation Commissioner Mr. Manoj Jain said the demolition of illegal structures inside parks would be taken up soon.!

I think Mahanagar palike should do some thing to close the Open Guttars / Mori which are most unhealthy / unhygenic and spread across the gullies / localities of the entire Gulbarga.
The uncivilised residents makes their children to shit in those gutter
which adds and spreads further unhygenic environment across Gulbarga.

Demolition, Road widening etc are good. But it does not seems to be impartial. There is no uniformity in road widening. Still there are places of worship in middle of the road/ road side which are untouched. Building of politicians spared. Illegal structure in Gulbarga fort are to be removed / people are to shifted immediately. Fort is to be rebuild, cleaned , to be made attractive tourist centre. There should be common standards viz breadth of road, quality of road etc. There is no proper planning in building of road side drainage, laying of cables etc during road widening.
More and More Aadhar centers are to be opened.

I wish they over come political pressure and do all the needful demolition on the Road from Rastapati Chowk to Sardar Patel Chowk and complete the road which is taking more time and creating problems to common people

Entire world is going fast and the better infrastructure can provide opportunity for new growth. Most of the cities in Indian are developing drastically. I feel bad when I visit the Gulbarga every time the city is kind of stand still and no changes, funny thing is I can recognize the pit holes on the road which I saw year back. The Gulbarga has produced most of ministers and CM’s to the State, we should salute to the great great politicians from our region, they are focused on their personal growth and least bother about the region which has elected them.

The people of Gulbarga who had suffered a lot during the last 60 years should come forward and help the demolition works to take place. Any unauthorized construction have no right to exist and shall be removed. Roads shall be made more wide more wider than planned to atleast serve the cause for next 10years atleast. In conservative city like Gulbarga, slowly but atleast things are moving in a right direction.
