Gulbarga ESIC Hospital Gulbarga

 

The Congress President will also be inaugurating an ESI Hospital in the district. It is reported that these events will kick-start the Congress’ campaign for upcoming Lok Sabha polls Sonia Gandhi to inaugurate ESI Hospital in Gulbarga on February 1.

 

President of the All-India Congress Committee Sonia Gandhi will be inaugurating the Employees State Insurance Corporation’s (ESIC) medical education complex, constructed at a cost of more than Rs. 1,000 crore in Gulbarga.

 

Railway Minister Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge, who was instrumental in the  sanctioning of medical education complex. consisting of medical, dental,  nursing colleges, paramedical institutes, a super speciality hospital and other facilities on a 30.4 acres of land, sanctioned by the State government,  when he was holding the Labour portfolio, said here on Saturday that Ms. Sonia Gandhi had agreed to inaugurate the ESIC medical education complex in February.

 

The ESIC medical college, with an intake of 100 students, is presently functioning from the medical college complex. The construction of other buildings to house the dental college, nursing college, paramedical institutions and a super speciality hospital, was in the advanced stages.

 

The medical college would have six floors, with all modern teaching facilities, auditoriums and laboratories. The super speciality hospital would be housed in a eight-floor building with 12 types of ultramodern wards, apart from ICUs and ICCUs. The super speciality facilities in the hospital included  neurology, cardiology and others. The super speciality hospital would have 12 ultra modern operation theatres with state-of-the-art equipment, two emergency operation theatres and two maternity OTs.

 

Mr. Kharge said that the inauguration of ESIC medical education complex in Gulbarga would be a milestone in the development of Hyderabad Karnataka region. The setting up of the super speciality hospital would be a boon to the people of the region in general, and members of ESIC in particular.
