There was a mixed response for the first bundh of 2012 for which the call was given by the Hyderabad-Karnataka Horata Samithi which has demanded moving the amendment bill in the budget session of the Parliament
People had to face hardships mainly due to suspension of all buses by the NEKRTC till 2:00 pm. The buses coming to the city were made to stop on the outskirts of the city making it very difficult for the aged and children to reach their homes. The closing down of hotels on the main roads of the city was another difficulty for the people. Shops, business establishments, petrol bunks remained closed for several hours. However, the business was as usual after 3:00pm.The educational institutions remained closed for the day.
The activists of different outfits were seen roaming on the roads with sticks in their hand enforcing the bundh. The movement of vehicles was blocked in the morning hours near bus stand on the MSK Mills road and the vehicle users had to find alternative ways. Barring an incident of pelting a stone on a car on the Aland road the bundh was completely peaceful
Superintendent of Police Pravin Pawar told that the bundh was absolutely peaceful with no untoward incident reporting from anywhere in the district. He said, the bundh was also observed in all the taluk headquarters of the district.
Though a large number of organisations had extended their support for the bundht he political parties mainly Congress and Janata dal (S) chose to keep away from the bundh as it had the active support of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. HKHS President and former minister Vaijanath Patil him self being a senior leader of BJP the other prominent leaders of BJP who took part in the bundh included MLA Sunil Valyapure, MLC Shashil Namoshi, HKDB President Amarnath Patil, senior leader Thippanna Kamaknur, MSIL Chairman Vikram Patil and others.

I think this is tak time for govt paper work no 1- d to b and ka govt work that time you have keep you r paisan s same months don’t very for 371 that will aply and no need gulbarga band pls give hard time for pepoal thank and best regards To ledars. A jaleel thx

Article 371 is not our final goal. Development of our area is the final goal. Article 371 is one of the means to achieve that. Grow above the cheap party politics,religion & cast politics,language politics and concetrate on ONENESS to make HK / NK feel proud of itself.
Press and electronic media is requested to avoid the belittling tone of the language of the news items of HK/NK area during their presentions.

I think its time for the govt to understand our problems,we have been waiting for almost 50 years for this,we are also humans,we too need to see our place grow like the southern parts of our state…
Also i wish Namma Gulbarga team to include day to day news and developments in and around GULBARGA….
